4. Soryu-class
Japan’s Soryu class leads conventional submarine design. Air-independent propulsion keeps the boat submerged for lengthy missions, while an X-shaped stern boosts agility. Acoustic tiles and a low-profile snorkel reduce detection. Type 89 torpedoes and Harpoon missiles give the Soryu a sharp bite.
