Thylane was given the opportunity to grace the cover of French Vogue when she was just 10 years old. She wore a gold dress with a deep V-neck and lots of makeup. When that issue was published, French Vogue faced major backlash. Many people accused them of sexualizing a young child and said that type of shooting was inappropriate. Thylane's parents also received a lot of backlash for promoting the photoshoot and allowing their young daughter to participate in it. Thylane's mother responded that she had not noticed anything wrong with the photo of her and that the only alarming item was the necklace that Thylane was wearing, estimated to be worth around three million euros.


No matter what anyone else thought of the Vogue shot, one thing was certain: Thylane had a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that catapulted her into the world of high fashion. Since then, she has walked the runways for brands like Chanel, Ralph Lauren, Lacoste, Dolce & Gabbana and even Michael Kors at New York Fashion Week in 2017. She is represented by modeling agency IMG, which also represents Cindy's daughter Crawford, Kaia Gerber and Gigi and Bella Hadid.
